Proline 4" Jet Flare Dredge HP400 263 Gast

Proline 4" Jet Flare Dredge HP400 263 Gast

The PROLINE 4” JET FLARE dredge incorporates several innovative design changes to the more conventional dredges in its class.  Powered by a Honda GX200 engine and Proline’s 400 GPM high volume pump, this dredge is uniquely tuned to provide maximum suction and water flow for recovery of fine gold. The high volume/pressure ratio is coupled into the power jet with a 2” high pressure hose.  Coupling the suction hose to the power jet is a Proline engineered and machined quick release “sure-flow coupler”.  This coupler (shown) eliminates clog prone surfaces at the rear of the power jet and allows the suction hose to be removed with the flip of spring latches.  The integrated power jet and cross linked polyethylene flare, allows material entering the flare to slow down and spread out.  Another unique Proline design feature is the combined heavy duty rubber damper and wave classifying tray.  Material coming out of the flare and into the sluice box encounters a jigging action allowing the heavy values to concentrate under the classifier while all lighter material work out of the box.  Hungarian riffles are used for efficiency and miners moss is used throughout the sluice box.  Precision cut and fabricated sluice and riffles allow the use of unbacked miners moss to make for easier clean up.  The wave classifier and underlying riffles and rubber matting can be removed to allow quick clean up of the top of the sluice without lifting the main riffle tray. T80 air compressor can be added to support up to two divers. For full 2 diver support we recommend the 45HPJG with a 263 Gast compressor.

The light weight, portability and affordability of our 4" dredge makes it appealing to both the weekend prospector and the serious dredger alike. Small enough to slide into a pickup, light enough to be packed into remote areas, the 4" makes an excellent one man dredge. This model is equipped with pontoons that have increased stability over previous models, while remaining compact and lightweight. The frame remains essentially the same as previous models. It's a sturdy bolt together design which allows the dredge to be disassembled into smaller components for ease of transport. Assembly requires only a few hand tools.

The dredge can be equipped with either the Honda GX160 engine and HP350 pump or the Honda GX200 engine and HP400 pump for additional power. The HP400 is a very efficient 3"x 2" pump with a high flow, "progressive bite" five vane impeller. This is the only pump in the industry designed specifically for the GX200 engine. We highly recommend this engine/pump package for anyone who dredges to greater depths or at higher altitudes. This dredge is equipped with our "sure-flow" coupler, which essentially, eliminates all surface rock jams. Our unique one piece jet/flare assembly not only reduces down time caused by rock jams, is extremely light, and outlasts conventional steel jets by four to five times!

This dredge uses the highly acclaimed "wave classifier" which is proven to greatly enhance fine gold recovery by eliminating the problems associated with processing low grade sand. The classifier develops a pulsing, or "jigging," action which prevents the dredged material from loading up under it. By shedding the low grade particles, the fine gold can drop out of suspension earlier and accumulate under the classifier where it is safe from the turbulence and disturbance caused by the larger rocks traveling through the sluice. The rear portion of the sluice box utilizes "Hungarian" riffles for maximum efficiency and the dredge is equipped with Nomad matting for the ultimate in fine gold recovery. No other 4" dredge even comes close.
